Lingenau | around the Subersach

This sporty (E)-mountain bike tour leads over the Plenterwald from Rotenberg to Hittisau and to the "moving village of Sibratsgfäll". The route continues via the Schetteregg mountain pasture area back to Lingenau.

You cycle on a supply road from Lingenau up to the Rotenberg with its beautiful plenter forests. There a supply road leads down to Hittisau. From there you drive along the state road to Sibratsgfäll (from Sausteig on the old road via Mähmoos). Via Krähenberg you reach the Iferalpe, where you turn right, and via the Leugehralpen and several mountain pasture settlements you reach Schetteregg. Via Fohren and Fallenbach and then the high bridge over the Subersach you get back to the center of Lingenau.

Option: Turn right at the Rehenbergvorsäß and drive via the Unterberg- and Wüstevorsäß to Fohren, where the paths meet again. This is a more demanding route than via Schetteregg.
